The International Federation of Football
History and Statistics (IFFHS), have named Nwankwo Kanu, as one the top 48
legends of football all over the world.
Kanu,
who played for Ajax, Inter Milan and Arsenal during his stint in Europe, was
listed alongside Brazilian greats like Pele and Ronaldo de Lima.
The
former Super Eagles star, is the last Nigerian to be named CAF African
Footballer of the Year, back in 1999.
Other
Africans who made the cut include: former World Player of the Year George
Oppong Weah, Roger Milla, Rabah Medjer, Muhammed Aboutrika, Mohmud El-Khatub
and former South Africa captain Lucas Radebe.
IFFHS,
who are recognised by FIFA, archive football records, statistics and records of
associations across the globe.
