Operatives of
the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday picked former
Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Steve Oronsaye.
It was gathered that the former civil service boss was arrested
around 4pm on Tuesday over alleged corruption and obtaining money by false
pretense.
Report said Oronsaye was re-arrested on a separate two-count
charge, attracting a different prosecution.
He allegedly abused his position as Chairman of the Presidential
Committee on Financial Action Task Force, obtaining N240m from the Central
Bank, which he converted to his personal use.
Oronsaye is no longer a visitor to the anti-graft agency’s
office, as he was arrested eight months ago for alleged N6.2 billion fraud.
